Ferenc Molnar

Ferenc Molnar was born in 1878 in Budapest as Feren Neumann. He became a famous writer, dramatic and one of the most acknowledge writers of the 20th century.

His love were comedies, novel and children stories that were about the kids growing up, such as "Paul Street Boys."

During the World War I. Ferenc was a war correspondent and a big supporter of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He received both acknowledgment and critics for his believe.

He emigrated to the USA to avoid the Nazi Jew persecution. He died in New York in 1952 when he was 74 years old.

Even though he had written a lot, he is most famous for "Paul street boys" and that novel is considered to be one of the best children’s book of all time. Also some of his famous plays are "The Guardsman" and "The swan". The novel "The Paul Street Boys" was TV adapted and it is one of the most read books in Hungary.
