Lyman Frank Baum biography

Lyman Frank Baum was born in 1856 and she was a famous American journalist, writer and play writer. Her roots come from Germany, Scotland and Ireland. She had a big family and he was the 7th out of nine kids.

1900 he published "The wonderful Wizard of Oz" and because of that book he became famous and it is one of the most famous books for young people. Until today the book has been translated to all world languages and about the Land of Oz many books have been written after this hit. The book will probably remain a hit throughout generations because it is truly a classic.

She died in 1909 in Hollywood. After his death the book was screen adapted and the star of the movie was Judy Garland.

Baum wrote 55 novels, 83 short stories, 200 poems. He wanted to get his work into the theatre or the TV many times.
