Sue Townsend

Sue Townsend was born in 1941 in England. She went to Glen Hills in 1950, and after that, she went to an all-women school in south Wigston. Sheleft school when she was 15 and was a housewife before her fist book was published.

She married young at the age of 18 and had three kids. Her husband left her, so she was raising them by herself.

After she had published "The secret diary of Adrian Mole" she became popular all around the world, and the book had millions of copies.

Because of the excellent feedback on her novel she published sequences of it: The Growing Pains of Adrian Mole, The True confession of Adrian Mole... Musical and TV shows were made according to her books.

The doctors discovered in 1999 that she had diabetes and she ended up blind because of it. She lives in Leicester today.
